I believe the true meaning of most of the holidays has vanished with commercializing everything. Instead of the true meaning of giving thanks, now people want to make sure they have time to watch the football games, and who has the biggest turkey, ya know?
I remember when I was younger, we traveled for miles to return home and give thanks for our family, the days past, and the days to come...I mean during the blessing of the food, we all had to say what we were thankful for that year, and believe me, by the time we were finished the food would almost be cold.
