Want To Keep Your Stars? Keep Submitting

Sure everyone knows that if you want ratings, you have to give the readers something to rate, right? Right. Well, maybe that's not enough. So you have articles for them to read and rate, but what about them? They have articles that they must put out there to be read and rated as well.

Wait a minute, that's like a circle of life; a 'scratch my back, I scratch yours'. And it all works out just fine, when you submit articles to be rated, others read. But others also submit articles to be read and rated as well. Well, we are all one big gigantic information circle, people. And I must admit that I'm happy and honored to be a part of this gigantic circle.

See, I had to turn all my time into the publishing of the second edition of my book, 'Just As I Leaned ...' and thanks Christ it's been handled and the books are here - Selah! But back to my point. I had neglected my time set aside for the Warp while dealing with my business, and noticed how drastically my star rating had dropped. I was devastated, people. Cluless to how it could have happened .. right off, I headed straight for my Reader's Club. I read for hours, but my number hadn't rose. Instead it was steadily falling! OMG! As my deadlines for making my article goal closed in on me, I gathered my notes and sat in front of my Control Panel. I looked at my personality ratings again, looking sadly at the decreasing line across my monitor. I decided that I'd still read my fellow writers' works through the Readers Club, maybe give it another try at helping the star status. I noticed the number of articles I had available to be read ... and there was my problem.

Sure, it's good to read to get your stars, but keep them balanced. Submit as many articles as you read. See, that way, our circle grows, and grows, and grows.

Ronyae, I know the feeling, I had the same trouble for a little while, and my fan base is growing, and I am reading my fans work, but then I also have to write....so its a vicious circle, but you are right its all about keeping the balance....We as writers must support each other, in every way, not to mention that I am addicted to reading all my fans work as well......but you'll get up there again, and I'm here to read and help.....we must help each other.....Your fan and friend in pen, Gary....I think you read my article about "What is a Fan"? Your in there!!! Good advice in this article.... good job.

Thanks for your article. I spend a lot of time reading and since I am new at this I still insecure about submitting articles. I love the Reader's Club. I read some really interesting articles. I also get e mails about new articles written by people in my fan club. This is such fun. Someday I will have the numbers.

Linda,
With an attitude like that, you are sure to have numbers beyond numbers!  May I share a secret between friends and fam?  Let it be told, your writing has it in the bag for the numbers, anyway!
Stay Blessed

Ronyae,

There you go submitting an article and I had not seen it till this moment.  Very good, Ronyae, but I still don't understand this point system and I'm not going to worry about it.  Were I retired, I'd probably feel more competitive.  Truth is, I write to vent, to talk, to share, to read, to comment and primarily to enjoy.   Isn't it amazing how much we learn?

Thanks and by the way, can you send me an email with a link to your book?

Nancy,
Thanks for reading and sharing a very relative point!  I'm grateful that you are on here to share those vents, rants and raves with us. (Smile)  I'm on my way to send you the link for the books.  Thanks
