The Miniature Genius

Even before he was born, my buddy A'Dahreyon ( pronounced Ah-dah-ree-on) held conversations with me from his mother's belly. I kid you not, people. It would seem as if he knew when I was around her, because her belly would be jumping, literally, like he was communicating with me. And when I would talk like I'm having conversations with him, her belly would look as if he was doing flips. It would entertain me for hours, and I couldn't wait to actually talk with A'Dahreyon when he was born.

And what was even more shocking was the fact that once A'Dahreyon was born, it seemed as if he knew it was I that was holding great conversations with him while in my cousin's belly. Whenever he heard my voice, he'd start smiling and cooing instantly. A'Dahreyon didn't waste anytime showing the world that he was a genius, and started holding his own bottle just after three weeks old; shocking to me. And his conversations grew more elaborate by the days. He was giving people something to listen to, as he held conversations with himself in the bedroom ... did I say by himself? Yes, he'd wake up from a nap, and we knew he was awake becasue we'd hear cooing and baby talk coming from the bedroom. It scared us the first time, because it actually sounded like someone was holding an actual conversation.

Well, A'Dahreyon is a year older now, and his skills have mastered the baby-growth scale, for me that is. A'Dahreyon is walking up and down stairs with no problems. And he doesn't even use the hand rails! His words are coming out clear and very amusing as some words cannot be formed to speak yet, but that is not stopping him from yelling "hallalooyah" while in Sunday worship service. Our family blames it on me for learning him how to say such things, but I just say, "He's our miniature genius."

See, what they are in denial about is the truth that A'Dahreyon has the ability to catch on really fast, and once you show him something new, he's on it! Just like a singing and dancing potted daisy plant that my Mother has, it's A'Dahreyon's favorite! And now that I've showed him where the power button is, A'Dahreyon's Dance Show is on air, non-stop. And it amazes me, that even though I showed him the button only once, he remembers exactly where to go to find that button, and what it looks like, how to press it, and amazingly enough, how to dance along with the tune of "I Can See Clearly Now ..."

It never ceases to amaze me how babies come to this world as miniature geniuses. Share your stories of the miniature geniuses in your life.

This is a great read. What a child! Children are great passive learners, but it sounds as if you little buddy is extra special and is like a magnet, picking up things from everywhere. Lucky boy to have you to help nurture him in every way. Good job!

Connor,
My 'Chicken', as I call him, is funny in more ways than a mere few!  He looks a bit like me, you say?  WOW, I guess that's because I spend so much time 'inspiring' him, LOL.
Thanks for reading and sharing a comment.  Stay Blessed

LOL, Connor.  My Moms had that nickname from an old friend of hers.  I always wondered why he called my Mother that ... hmmm, makes me wonder (smile)
