Linwood violence on Linwood, shooting off Linwood

Local residents in  Detroit's central area neighborhood heard gunshots first, then a mass of police sirens and ambulances.  As the residents rushed to find the destination of the speeding officers, they came upon the scene pictured above.

According to witnesses, a fight that had started more than three days prior to the shooting, had erupted and ended in gunfire.  A female had been shot in the leg, and witnesses told officers at the scene that another victim had been assaulted by a mob of people.

The entire scene included both sides of the street, crossing Linwood.  At the end of the day, there was a total of 10 squad cars, 2 ambulances, a helicopter and 3 news vans; not including the 50 or more spectators and neighbors waiting to find out the entire story.

By the time of the submission, the status of the shooting victim had not been released, and authorities were at a standstill on who to charge for the situation.

Thanks for reading, Dr.
As of this past weekend, the young lady was released from the hospital, and is doing okay; suspects are still being questioned, and the young man that was assulted by the mob is doing well.  He was released from police custody the following morning, with no charges being made on his association with the incident.

Uncontrolled anger has always confused me; I have never been able to understand how people can become so angry that they lose all sense of maturity.

But, I guess some people just never grow up.

Thanks for the update.

Ms. Sandra,
I feel the same way, and asks the same question within myself: "Why so much anger?"
