If you don't have family, what else do you have? Your family is the foundation of who, a
nd what you are. My BFF is a carpenter by nature. So was his father. I'm quite sure there are many of you who have inherited creative skills and trades from your descendents.
Family is also the one place you feel you can return to. People tend to venture out, in search of self. Life deals hardship before true success, and sometimes a person is forced back to the drawing board. Or, perhaps a person made a bad decision in life, and has to suffer the blows of the consequences; losing a home, job or other means of self-preservation. It's not very often that an average person will help you. But, you "can always depend on family" ... at least, that's what we are to be.
Imagine not having a family to return or turn to; some people are the only members left of their family tree. Not having any family members around sounds like a lonely place. But not as lonely as actually having family members around you, and very close in proximity that are not there for you. To me, that hurts more than knowing I have lost a family member to death.
Having a brother or sister living two blocks over, and not interacting with them is just plain ridiculous to me. Maybe my opinionated outburst comes from my growing up within a very close-knit family of Snowdens.

(c)ROYALTY Publishing07 Happy Holidays from The Snowden Family! REST09My family is very supportive of one another, in almost everything. I say 'almost' because there is no way any family should be very supportive of a serial killer, or should they?
How can a family be supportive of a serial killer? Could helping them [serial killer] hideout be considered as such? But, that goes for saying that you know of the crimes being committed. What type of person can know of murder, and not say anything? It sounds like something impossible, right? Well, not right. There are situations where families of serial killers are aware of what is going on. But, there's a catch-22 to this: the family knows of the crimes being committed, but are forced into blindness for sake of not wanting to believe that the crimes are being committed by a family member.
Remember, this is family and no matter what they have done, they must be supported by their family. Sure, they may have fallen off the path and turned into this killing machine. But, that is your brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandparent, or even child ... what now, and what part will you play in all of this? Imagine finding out that your family member has been tagged as a serial killer, and it's the truth. A person of your same bloodline, acting out violence beyond natural conviction.
What yoU'd Do? If the situation happened to you and your family, how would you deal with it? What feelings would you have towards your family member, after finding out that they have a hunger for murder...?

I would hope that I would turn them in. I would have to think of others safety as well as the love I may feel for a family member. I have learned that you can love someone but you don't have to condone their actions. It's something to think about because you never really know what you would do until you are in those shoes.
You need to take action to protect the next victim and who is to say that the victim might not also be family? Sacry isn't it? Sending you an e-hug! And it is also a crime to "aid and abet" or however that goes....Marijo
I did have a sister two blocks away who would not talk to me. It is crazy and sad. Nicely done, Ronyae Snowden, nicely done.
