Laying Low Through A Storm

We've all heard it before, and especially when bad weather is approaching: Lay Low! The storm is coming! Well, metaphorically speaking, 'lay low' is what you must do when a storm enters your life. Be it financial, family, personal, or any other "storm" in your life, you have to 'lay low' and allow this [storm] to run its course .... ultimately passing you by.
Sure times are going to be tough, complicated, and even downright unbearable. But we must keep in heart and mind that nothing is put upon you, inwhich you - as a spirit of self-preserverance - cannot conquer, or get over/through.
When times such as this [storm] arises in your life, take heed to that metaphor and "lay low!" Stop trying to pull the ends together, when you know there is a missing part that has yet to be seen or attained; realize that you have no humanly power to make things the way you want or see fit (you are not the only person on this earth); and lastly, but definitely not the least, sometimes 'laying low' means just sitting back and allowing [things] life to run its course. Some things are meant to happen in life, whether we want it or not. Such as age, and all that comes with it.
Don't take life so serious that you don't recognize the warnings signs of a storm approaching in your life. Stay focused, open-minded/hearted, and keep your eye on the prize: life's guranteed happiness. If, and only if you notice a storm approaching in your life, don't try to take it on ... pull your wits together and prepare for the bumpy ride. But remember to 'Lay Low!', and let the storm pass.
Have a prosperous and elated journey in life!

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)i think it is good but not very well understoodI agree Abolghasem, and it's almost like the saying: 'easier said than done'; it's easy to say you are not going to 'worry, try to make things happen, or even change the outcome of certain things in life. But in actuality, once [we] try and actually NOT do anything, it's the hardest thing to do because we feel as if we are doing 'NOTHING' to [help] ourselves. When sometimes, you have to allow yourself the priviledge of letting go and knowing things will 'work its way through'. Thanks for commenting!
Some days trying to wear the world as a loose garment is harder than others. Your article hit me right where I am at the moment, waiting on the Lord to put my life on whatever path he would have me take because if I tried it I would screw it up. Thank you for sharing.Your words are a mirror to mine, Linda! I know if I tried to 'handle' all that was placed in my life, and upon me I'd been a disaster many years ago! I, too am thankful that I have Faith in a spirit of guidance, protection, mercy and forgiveness ... if I didn't I know I'd be lost. Your comment really touched me Linda, I appreciate you stopping by and commenting. ~Stay Blessed
Ronyae,
'This too shall pass' works for me as well. Very good advice and much truth in what you say. Sadly, too many people don't understand it until it has moved past. I find much to learn in the storms I encounter.
Thanks much and good to read you. Blessings Dear OneI agree Nancy, people tend to wait until all [hell] has broken loose and then try to 'fix' things, or look for a solution. Thanks for reading and sharing a wonderful comment!
