Within a year's time, we have lost celebrities by untimely deaths. No matter the cause of death, their [celebrities] short-lived lives will always remain with their fans.
A celebrity doesn't actually realize how much of their life means to other people - unknown people. The very people who have helped make them the celebrities they are, are the same people who may take their death harder than a family member.
I can recall when the death of Michael Jackson hit the airwaves ... people were literally passing out in tears, and devasted by his untimely death. It has been nearly three years since the death of Michael Jackson, and people are still mourning his passing. This is proof that his memories will forever live on.
Just recently, we heard of the untimely death of Rhythm and Blues superstar Whitney Houston ... of course another shocker to a nation. Houston was only 48-years old at the time of her death. Although resources had not released the cause of Houston's death at the time of releasing the actual death of the megastar, media reports and speculation had already given Houston the 'relapse' label. Houston had been known for having drug and alcohol abuse.
It seems that society, and its media outlets are hungry to keep us informed on the negative of a celebrity's life. It doesn't matter if the person was a philanthropist, good citizaen, or even a member of a church family. All that matters to the media for hype purposes is: negativity.
I am addressing this issue to say, for once allow a person's memory live for what they were worth, not for their worthless actions. No person is without blemish. Honestly speaking (and a bit biblical), which can cast the first stone?
A note to the celebs: Know that you are in the lime light, and all that you do shine bright ... some things, brighter than others.
To the fans and supporters, I say don't be so quick to judge.

Top-level comments on this article: (2 total)It may seem a repetitive kind of opinion. but I think what media chose to elaborate is not everything. In my opinion, the simple Black mother who has a nice family in downtown is much more honorable than Micheal Jackson who tried to erase his Original Identity.Awesome comment, Abolghasem! I appreciate your opinion, and I also applaud it. Thanks for reading and sharing a great comment!
